Reports: Andrei Kirilenko rules out Nets; Timberwolves could be favorite

We told you earlier on Tuesday that former Utah Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko plans to return to the NBA after playing last season in his native Russia.

The Brooklyn Nets, with former Jazz teammate Deron Williams, were thought to be the frontrunner, but Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News and Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports both report that Kirilenko has ruled out the Nets.

That may leave just the Minnesota Timberwolves and perhaps the Golden State Warriors as possible landing spots. Jerry Zgoda of the Minneapolis Star Tribune says the T-Wolves could be offering a significant deal:

If the money is that high in Minneapolis -- and given that the Timberwolves cleared a lot of cap space in this reported trade -- it's hard to see Kirilenko ending up elsewhere.
