Kevin Ding of the Orange County Register reports that the Los Angeles Lakers are expected to announce in the next few days the addition of former NBA head coaches Eddie Jordan and Bernie Bickerstaff as assistants to coach Mike Brown.

Jordan, a proponent of the Princeton offense, is expected to add an offensive wrinkle to the Lakers that is similar to the Triangle offense favored by former coach Phil Jackson. Given the strengths of newly acquired Steve Nash and Dwight Howard -- i.e., the pick-and-roll -- it will be curious to see how much Princeton the team runs.

Jordan has been head coach of the Sacramento Kings, the Washington Wizards and the Philadelphia 76ers. Bickerstaff has run the show for the Seattle SuperSonics, the Denver Nuggets, the Washington Bullets/Wizards and the Charlotte Bobcats.
