Cedric Benson's injury to sideline Packers RB at least eight weeks: Report

Green Bay Packers running back Cedric Benson is expected to be out at least eight weeks and possibly more with a Lisfranc foot injury, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported via Twitter Monday night.

The Packers had already ruled out Benson for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans, one day after he was carted off the field during a 30-27 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Benson has carried the ball 71 times this season for 248 yards, and he has scored one touchdown. A lengthy absence for Benson would be a blow for a Packers offense that already struggles moving the ball on the ground, as it ranks 19th in the NFL in that category. At 2-3, the Packers have slumped to a disappointing overall start.
