Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love suffered a broken left hand and will be out 4-to-6 weeks, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Love reportedly fractured the fourth metacarpal bone in his left hand during the Timberwolves’ 94-90 preseason loss to the Chicago Bulls last Friday. According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Love's hand smacked against the elbow of a teammate as Love collected a rebound.

Love also missed time in the preseason with what was reported as a sore right elbow.

Love averaged a career-high 26 points a game and grabbed 13.3 rebounds per contest last season and was part of the United States Olympic Team that won a gold medal at the 2012 Games in London.
