New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott will not play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, ending his consecutive games played streak at 119 games, reports the New York Daily News.

Scott has been bothered by a hyperextended big toe, an injury that he has been dealing with since Week 3. Scott has not missed a game since the 2005 season.

“I don't care about a streak,” Scott said earlier this week. “If helping the team best is for me to be on the sideline, help these young linebackers see what's going on, then I'll do that.”

In last week's loss against the New England Patriots, Scott only played nine snaps.
