Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has a broken left wrist and was seen wearing a cast after the Cardinals' 23-20 triple overtime loss to Connecticut, reports Cardinal Authority.

Cardinals coach Charlie Strong also said Bridgewater has a leg injury but should be able to play next week against Rutgers, a game that will decide the Big East Conference's automatic BCS berth.

The Cardinals were trailing 10-0 when Bridgewater led the team back to force overtime with a touchdown pass with 21 seconds remaining. Bridgewater played through the injury and completed 30 of 53 passes for 331 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. That interception led to UConn's game-winning field goal in triple overtime.
