Philadelphia 76ers guard Jason Richardson will miss the rest of the season after having left knee surgery next week, reports Yahoo! Sports.

Richardson saw a doctor in New York City on Wednesday who told the guard that the recovery time following his surgery will be six to nine months.

Richardson had his knee drained on Jan. 17 and played 27 minutes the next day in a loss to the Toronto Raptors and has not played since. Richardson, in his 11th season, has played in 33 of the team's 47 games and is averaging 10.5 points and 3.8 rebounds this year.
