Wizards trade Jordan Crawford to Celtics for Leandro Barbosa

With the NBA trade deadline nearing, the Wizards traded guard Jordan Crawford to the Celtics for the expiring contract of guard Leandro Barbosa, according to Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports. Barbosa is out for the season after tearing his ACL and makes $1.2 million, the league minimum.

Crawford, 24, was drafted by the Nets in the first round (27th overall) of the 2010 draft. He is averaging 13.2 points and 3.7 assists per game this season.

Barbosa, 30, played in two games with the Celtics before the injury. Over the course of his 11-plus year career, the Brazil native is averaging 12 points and 2.4 assists per game.

Crawford had expressed a desire to move, as his role had been diminished with the emergence of Bradley Beal as the Wizards' shooting guard.
