Kevin Durant fined $25,000 for a "menacing gesture" in Thursday's game

Kevin Durant has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for "making a menacing gesture" during Thursday's 116-97 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

After Russell Westbrook blocked a Stephen Curry layup, Durant grabbed the ball and scored with a big dunk. Although great play, it's not enough to reach Dunk of the Year caliber, and it didn't merit the throat-slashing move that followed.

The throat-slash was followed by Durant pretending to pray. From the Washington Post's report on Durant's fine:

“Kill ‘em and pray for ‘em after the game,” Durant, who finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, explained later (via the Associated Press)

The win over Golden State was a big one for the Thunder, putting the team up half a game over the Spurs for the top seed in the Western Conference.
