The University of Connecticut on Thursday unveiled a new, more aggressive-looking logo its athletic teams will begin using next season.
The university announced the new logo on its UConn Today blog. It is part of a rebrand that also will use "UConn" as the "primary mark of the University in all signage, publications, advertising and marketing activities."
“This logo is everything that a Husky is supposed to be – powerful, aggressive, determined,” said women's basketball head coach Geno Auriemma, whose team
won the national championship on Tuesday

“It is looking right through you and saying, ‘Do not mess with me.’ This is a streamlined, fighting dog, and I cannot wait for it to be on our uniforms and court.”
UConn women's basketball player Caroline Doty tweeted a photo of the new logo:
