Bulls' Richard Hamilton suspended one game for throwing elbow

The NBA suspended Chicago Bulls guard Richard Hamilton for one game without pay for throwing an elbow and making contact with Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan's face.

The play happened in the third quarter of the Bulls' Friday night 97-88 loss to the Raptors.

Hamilton was assessed a flagrant two foul and was ejected from the game.

He will miss Sunday's road game against the Miami Heat. Hamilton, in his 13th season in the league, is averaging 10.1 points in 22.1 minutes per game this season.
