The San Francisco Giants placed center fielder Angel Pagan on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 28, with a strained right hamstring, the team announced.

Pagan has not played in the last 10 games for the Giants, who find themselves 2.5 games back in the National League West entering this weekend's series with division leaders, the Arizona Diamondbacks. The team recalled outfielder Juan Perez, who was hitting .296 with nine homers, 34 RBI and 12 stolen bases at  Triple-A Fresno, to take Pagan's roster spot.

Pagan is hitting .262 with three homers and 24 RBI in 46 games played this season.
