Reports: Ray Allen exercises player-option to return to Heat next season

Miami Heat shooting guard Ray Allen will exercise his player-option to return to the Miami Heat, according to multiple reports. According to Fox Sports Florida, by opting in using his player-option, Allen will earn $3.23 million in the 2013-14 season with the defending-champion Heat.

Despite posting career-lows in points-per-game (10.9) and minutes-per-game (25.7) in a reserve role with the Heat, Allen played an integral role in saving the season during Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
