The Los Angeles Lakers announce they have waived Chris Duhon. According to Lakers beat writer Mike Bresnahan, Duhon's buyout was $1.5 million.

As early as late April, the Los Angeles Times was reporting that Duhon would not return for another season with the team. From the report:

Chris Duhon is on the books for $3.75 million next season but can be bought out for about one-third that amount. He won't be back.

In his 46 games with the Lakers, Duhon had nine starts, averaged 2.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists with 17.8 minutes. He had three double-scoring games.

General manager Mitch Kupchak made the announcement that Duhon had been waived.
