Reports: Dallas Mavericks and Jose Calderon agree to four-year, $29 million deal

The Dallas Mavericks and point guard Jose Calderon have agreed to terms on a four-year, $29 million contract, according to multiple reports. Any agreement between free agents and NBA teams can't be made official until July 10.
After losing out on the Dwight Howard sweepstakes, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban took to Twitter to proclaim the Mavericks would be "open for business." Calderon met with the Sacramento Kings this week but according to an ESPN report, Calderon wanted to sign with a team that had a better opportunity to reach the playoffs.
Calderon, 31, averaged 11.1 points and 7.4 assists and shot 47 percent from the field in 45 games for the Toronto Raptors before being dealt to the Detroit Pistons. He averaged 11.6 points and 6.6 assists, and shot 52.7 percent from the field in 28 games with the Pistons.
