The Cleveland Cavaliers are one of several teams interested in former Miami Heat forward Mike Miller, but there is some concern as Miller is considering fusion surgery to repair bulging disks in his back, Yahoo! Sports reports.

The Heat waived Miller using the amnesty clause and he has 48 hours to clear waivers.  He is owed $6.2 million next season and if no team claims him by the 5 p.m. ET deadline Thursday, he will be an unrestricted free agent.

"I understand the business side of basketball,'' Miller told The Associated Press. "It's a combination of being very, very thankful for the opportunity that I've had, but it hurts that we had a chance to do something very, very special and I'd love to have been a part of it.''

Miller told the Miami Herald that he feels fine and wants to play for a contender. Miller, 33, has played 12 NBA seasons, and averaged 4.8 points and 2.7 rebounds in 59 games last season.

"Body feels better than [it] has in a long time. It's the Pringles theory. Once you get that taste, you've got to have more."
