The Charlotte Bobcats and restricted free-agent guard Gerald Henderson are finalizing details on a three-year contract extension, according to Yahoo! reporter Adrian Wojnarowski. Henderson's contract extension is reportedly worth $18 million including a player option in his third year with the Bobcats.

According to the report, the Bobcats re-signing of Henderson was the top priority of new head coach Steve Clifford. The two sides are close to a deal and are expected to sign an agreement by next week. Henderson reportedly turned down a more lucrative deal to secure a player-option in the third year of his contract.
