One of the premier NBA matchups that will come on Christmas Day will feature the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors, The Orange County Register's Dan Wolke reported on Thursday.
The matchup serves as another marquee battle in addition to the Miami Heat's reported trip to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers. Christmas Day typically is the NBA's showcase day, much in the same way that Thanksgiving is for the NFL.
This matchup will pit point guards Chris Paul and Stephen Curry against one another. The Clippers held on to Paul this offseason after acquiring head coach Doc Rivers from the Boston Celtics.
Sources: Clippers will play Christmas game at Golden State. Final schedule will be released on Tuesday on NBATV.
