The Memphis Grizzlies have traded former first-round pick Tony Wroten to the 76ers, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Twitter. Memphis will receive a future second-round pick in the trade.

Wroten was the 25th selection in the 2012 NBA Draft, but he struggled to get playing time behind Mike Conley and Jerryd Bayless as a rookie. The former Washington Huskie averaged 2.6 points and 1.2 assists in 35 games last season.

At 6-foot-5, Wroten has size and ability. He is raw, but with the 76ers building, the team can afford to wait for him to develop. A second-round pick for a first-round talent is the type of trade they want to make.
