Boston Celtics forward Jared Sullinger was arrested Tuesday morning after an alleged domestic dispute with his girlfriend Saturday, reports WEEI's Jerry Spar.

Sullinger turned himself into police Tuesday and was subsequently charged with assault and battery, malicious destruction of property and witness intimidation. He was released on $5,000 bail after appearing in court later Tuesday. He is due back in court on Sept. 19.

Sullinger, a former Ohio State star, is entering his second year in the NBA. He played about 20 minutes per game as a rookie but is expected to take on a larger role this season under first-year head coach Brad Stevens.
