Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has been fined $7,875 for making a throat-slash gesture after his touchdown Sunday, according to Todd Archer of ESPN.com.

Bryant's signature celebratory move is making an "X" with his arms. He added a throat slash during the Cowboys' 31-7 win over the Rams, drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

Bryant apologized Monday, saying he should not have added the gesture that's unacceptable in the league's view -- but he also planned to appeal.

“I shouldn’t have done it anyway,” Bryant said. “I never put anything with the X. Do the X and go on.”
