Boston Celtics forward Kris Humphries auctioned the engagement ring that once belonged to his now ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, for $749,000 this week, according to a report from E! News.

The presale estimate was listed at between $300,000 and $500,000, but the $749,000 that it fetched will be donated to a charity of Humphries' choice. According to Christie's, which hosted the auction, the ring has 16.21 carats on the middle diamond, is surrounded on both sides by a 1.80 carat diamond and is encased in platinum. The ring reportedly cost the Celtics big man approximately $2 million in 2011.

The former couple married in August 2011, when Humphries was a member of the then-New Jersey Nets, but got divorced 72 days later.

Humphries is currently on the books for the Celtics at $12 million this year. In July, it was reported that Boston was looking to move him, shortly after acquiring the 28-year-old in a trade that included sending veterans Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to the Nets. Last season, Humphries averaged 5.8 points and 5.6 rebounds in 18 minutes per game, appearing in 65 matchups for the Nets.
