Nets guard Deron Williams exited Friday's game against the Suns early with a sprained left ankle and is out for the game.

Williams rolled his ankle after landing on it awkwardly when he went up for a rebound. He immediately went to the locker room without putting any weight on his left leg. This is the same ankle that kept Williams out of parts of training camp.

X-rays on Williams' ankle came back negative, according to New York Daily News reporter Stefan Bondy. He did not return for the remainder of Friday's game, finishing with just two points and one rebound in five minutes before hurting his ankle.

Williams tweaked his ankle Wednesday when he stepped on teammate Andray Blatche's foot. He stayed in the game Wednesday, but was seen limping in the locker room afterwards.
