Lakers star Kobe Bryant said he could see himself playing in November, according to Mike Trudell of the Lakers.com.

Kobe played in a scrimmage at practice Tuesday and told reporters afterwards that he was surprised by how good his legs felt. He also said he hoped to increase his ability to jump and plant his feet before he returns to the court.

While all agreed that Kobe looked strong in practice, coach Mike D'Antoni was quick to dampen expectations of a return in the near future, saying he would be 'surprised' if Bryant played in the Lakers contest against the Warriors on Friday.

Bryant suffered a torn Achilles at the end of the 2013 regular season and was unable to play in the Lakers short playoff run.
