Anthony Davis leaves game with 'non-displaced fracture' in left hand

New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis left the team's game against the New York Knicks on Sunday night with what the team said is a non-displaced fracture in his left hand. The Pelicans said that Davis would not return on Sunday, and a timetable for his eventual return is still to be determined.

Upon leaving the game, Davis looked to be in pain on the team's bench before heading to the locker room.

Davis, the No. 1 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, was averaging 19.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.9 blocks per game entering Sunday. He was shooting 50.2 percent from the field.

Ryan Anderson started the second half at power forward for the Pelicans, and it is likely that he will see an increased role in Davis' absence along with backup Lou Amundson. In a sixth-man role, Anderson is averaging 19.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game this season.
