Denver Nuggets' forward Danilo Gallinari will miss the remainder of the season after having surgery on his left ACL, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Gallinari tore his left anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in a game last April, but doctors believed that only the meniscus needed to be operated on and that the ACL might be able to heal without surgery.

Unfortunately, the ACL did not heal as the team's medical staff had hoped and Gallinari had to have it repaired surgically on Tuesday.
