Michigan State's Branden Dawson out at least a month with broken hand

Michigan State swingman Branden Dawson is out four to five weeks with a broken bone in his hand, according to Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press. Dawson reportedly broke the bone after slamming his hand during a film session.

The junior forward leads the Spartans with 8.7 rebounds per game and is fourth on the team in scoring, at 10.2 points per game.

Michigan State has been racked by injuries this season. Star forward Adreian Payne has missed four consecutive games and is likely to miss Friday's matchup with Michigan. Gary Harris, Matt Costello and Travis Trice have also missed games for the Spartans.
