Last night the Los Angeles Lakers were so shorthanded, they invoked an arcane rule allowing Robert Sacre to stay in the game after he'd fouled out because they had no remaining healthy players. Nick Young left the game in the first half with a knee injury, and the team announced Thursday he'll be out at least another two weeks.

The Lakers announced that Young's MRI revealed a non-displaced fracture of the patella and a bone bruise.

Young had been enjoying a bounce back year after signing with the Lakers in the offseason. The seventh-year swingman is averaging 16.9 points, 1.5 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game, all improvements from his numbers last season in Philadelphia.
