The National Basketball Players Association interviewed two candidates for their executive director position in New Orleans today, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

The candidates were not discussed with the press by the NBPA's executive committee, but multiple reports indicate one of the candidates is Screen Actors Guild executive director David White, who is considered the frontrunner for the position.

The job had previously been held by Billy Hunter from 1996 until 2013 when it was discovered that Hunter was misusing the union's funds and using his power to get jobs for his family members. The NBPA and Hunter have been involved in multiple lawsuits since that time including several filed by Hunter against then NBPA president Derek Fisher, the majority of which were dismissed.
