The Charlotte Bobcats are discussing a contract buyout with guard Ben Gordon, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Gordon, 30, is in the last year of a five-year, $55 million deal he signed in 2009. Once he is bought out and clears waivers, Gordon can sign with any team.

He has played only once in the past five games, playing seven minutes in a loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Feb. 12.

Gordon is averaging a career-low 5.3 points in 18 games this season, but has averaged 15.6 points during his 10-year career.
