The NBA announced it will donate all proceeds from the sales of Jason Collins' Brooklyn Nets jersey to charity.

The proceeds will go to Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network and the Matthew Shepard Foundation, according to Tim Bontemps of the New York Post.

The league also said it would set a minimum donation for the contribution at $100,000.

Collins' jersey has been the NBA's top seller since the openly-gay center signed with the Nets on Sunday.

The parents of Matthew Shephard met with Collins after the team's win in Denver on Thursday, and were presented with one of his jerseys.
