LeBron James, who said last November, "If you give me 37 shots in a game, I’d put up 60. Easy.”  On Monday night, he didn't need 37 shots, 33 was enough to net James a career high 61 points.

James went 22-33 from the field, and the Miami Heat defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 124-107.  James made his first eight three-point attempts and also had seven rebounds and five assist.

"The man above has given me some unbelievable abilities to play the game of basketball," James said. "I just try to take advantage of it every night. I got the trust of my teammates and my coaching staff to go in there and let it go."

James' previous career best happened on March 20, 2005, when he played for Cleveland and scored 56 points against Toronto.
