For now, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is relishing in the fact that he just won a Super Bowl at the age of 25 — and focusing on winning another one.

But in spring training with the Texas Rangers on Monday, Wilson couldn't completely rule out a return to the baseball diamond — a part of his life about which he admits he still dreams.

"You never say never," Wilson said, according to NFL.com. "I've always had the dream of playing two sports. If it somehow was a miracle that it could work out, I would consider it. I wouldn't say never, but at the same time, obviously my focus is on winning a championship for the Seattle Seahawks and playing for a long time."

Wilson made his planned appearance Monday at the Rangers facility in Surprise, Ariz., after being selected by the Rangers in the Rule 5 draft.

Wilson, who played second base, was taken twice during the MLB amateur draft — once in 2007 by the Baltimore Orioles before he chose to attend college, and then as a 2010 fourth-rounder by the Colorado Rockies. He played two seasons in the Rockies’ minor-league system — one with the short-season Class-A Tri-City Dust Devils and another with the Class-A Asheville Tourists.

Rangers manager Ron Washington left Monday's session convinced that if he wanted to, Wilson could be just as successful in a potential baseball career as he has been in the NFL.

"He surprised me for not being out on the baseball field for a while," Washington said, according to ESPN.com. "I might have burned his legs up a little bit, but he made it through all the drills and did a fantastic job. He's got tremendous aptitude. That's why he is who he is. You give him something, and he knows how to apply it."
