Report: Ervin Santana looking for one year deal; Blue Jays, Orioles have shown interest

Ervin Santana is looking to sign a one-year contract with a club as soon as possible, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

Santana pitched for the Kansas City Royals last season, compiling a 3.24 earned run average over 211.0 innings pitched after a career worst year in 2012, which saw the former All-Star give up 39 home runs on his way to an ERA of 5.16.

The 31-year old Santana had reportedly been asking for a contract in the five-year, $100 million range at the beginning of the off-season, but garnered little interest from teams at that price. With spring training in full swing, Santana is looking to sign with a high powered offense, and has drawn interest from the Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays.
