Report: Saints cut RB Darren Sproles

The New Orleans Saints will cut running back Darren Sproles according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Sproles has been with the Saints for the last three seasons, serving as a running back as well as a punt and kick returner, and racking up 5546 all-purpose yards and 22 touchdowns while playing for New Orleans.

The Saints also cut longtime wide receiver Lance Moore earlier in the day on Friday. It had been reported that both Moore and Sproles were on the trading block for the Saints earlier in the week.
