Pacers center Andrew Bynum out 'a while' with recurring knee problems

Indiana Pacers center Andrew Bynum will be out "a while" after suffering a setback as he continues to work his way back from knee surgery, Pacers coach Frank Vogel said.

Bynum experienced swelling after having his right knee drained and Vogel is unsure when Bynum will return.

Bynum sat out Monday's 99-90 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers and did not make the trip to New York for Wednesday night's game against the Knicks. He has played in two games with the Pacers after missing the previous 18 contests.

"He played in the Detroit game, aggravated a previous condition and had some swelling in there,” Vogel said, via Pro Basketball Talk. “He’s going to be out for a little while.”

He scored 15 points and had nine rebounds in 20 minutes against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday.
