Report: Braves to sign pitcher Aaron Harang

The Braves are looking to fill a hole in their pitching rotation with Aaron Harang, reports Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
The 35-year-old right hander was granted a release by the Cleveland Indians on Sunday after they told him that he would not make the team’s Opening Day roster.
The Braves, who released pitcher Freddy Garcia earlier in the day, were still thin on starting pitching because of the injuries to Brandon Beachy and Kris Medlen, who both underwent Tommy John surgery.

According to the Akron Beacon Journal, manager Terry Francona was reportedly interested in keeping Harang in the Indians' minor league system.
“He was very professional, he pitched really well for the most part,” Francona said of Harang. “After lengthy discussions we came to the conclusion we have other guys ahead of him.”
