The NBA suspended Dallas Mavericks reserve center DeJuan Blair for one game for kicking San Antonio Spurs center Tiago Splitter during Game 4 of their first-round playoff series, the league announced.

Blair will serve his suspension tomorrow during Game 5 when the Mavericks travel to San Antonio. The best of seven series is tied at two games apiece.

The incident occurred with 3:08 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Mavericks' 93-89 loss to the Spurs last night. Officials ruled the kick a "hostile act," but Blair said he didn't intend to kick Splitter.

Blair is averaging 5.5 points and 4.5 rebounds during the series, but scored 12 points and pulled down 11 rebounds before getting tossed in Game 4.
