With the 3-0 win, Ivory Coast added to North Korea's World Cup woes. North Korea scored just once in the tournament and allowed 11 goals.

After two goals in the first 20 minutes of play, Ivory Coast looked like it could be headed to the big result it needed to have any shot of advancing. But they were kept at bay most of the rest of the way, only mustering another tally in the 82nd minute.

Didier Drogba started in his second consecutive game after breaking his right arm in a friendly between Ivory Coast and Japan on June 4. Drogba took six shots, none of which found the net.

Brazil striker Nilmar sent a shot screaming towards net in the 30th minute but Portugal keeper Eduardo was up to the challenge, tipping it just wide to preserve the 0-0 score.

After Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo came out of goal to make an attempt at the ball, he punched it right to Spain's David Villa. Villa, who now has three goals in the World Cup, blasted it in from about 45 yards outside of the goal.

Chile's Marco Estrada picked up his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute, leaving his squad to attempt a two-goal comeback with a man down. Although Chile got a goal back early in the second half, the deficit proved to be too much to overcome.

In a punchless offensive match, Honduras got its best chance in the 71st minute, when Switzerland goalkeeper Diego Benaglio made a magnificent one-handed save on an open Honduras midfielder Edgar Alvarez. Alvarez's shot was the only shot on goal all match for Honduras.

Switzerland produced the shocker of the World Cup with an opening 1-0 victory against Spain, but was held scoreless in its other two matches. Gelson Fernandes, who scored the Swiss' goal against Spain, couldn't manage a single shot all match.
