Barcelona president Sandro Rosell says he plans to run for a second term in 2016.

Rosell was elected president of the Spanish club in 2010. He had previously formed part of the board of former president Joan Laporta before resigning in 2005.

Barcelona has won one Champions League, one Spanish league, and one Copa del Rey under Rosell. This season, it is on course to win another Spanish league title and will play in the semifinals in the Champions League.

Barcelona is owned by thousands of club members who elect a president and executive board. The club elections are closely followed events in the Catalan capital and throughout Spain.
