WIGAN, England (AP) -- Roberto Martinez has hinted he may step down as manager of Wigan following the club's relegation from the Premier League.

The Spaniard, who has been heavily linked with a move to Everton, will meet with Wigan chairman Dave Whelan on Monday and promises to make a quick decision about his future.

Martinez says Wigan has "incredible, solid foundations and whoever is going to be the manager is going to have a very successful time.''

Wigan became the first team to win the FA Cup and be relegated from the Premier League in the same season. Its final match is at home to Aston Villa on Sunday.

There will be a vacancy at Everton because David Moyes is leaving to become Manchester United manager on July 1.
