Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak calls Bung Moktar Radin's Hitler World Cup tweet 'unacceptable.'

After Germany's 7-1 World Cup victory over Brazil on Tuesday, lawmaker Bung Moktar Radin made reference to Adolf Hitler in a tweet about the game.

On Wednesday, Bung told The Star Online "there wasn't anything wrong with the reference to Adolf Hitler."

“I don’t know what’s wrong with people sometimes," Bung said. Hitler is part of history and the German team fought like how he did."

However, The Associated Press reported that after Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak called the remarks "unacceptable and wrong," Bung tweeted an apology:

"When Germany whacked Brazil, I unintentionally said something that hurt" the feelings of the people in Germany, he tweeted, adding: "My sincerest apology. Long live Bung."
