Colombia men's national soccer team

Los Cafeteros finished second-place in CONMEBOL qualifying for the 2014 World Cup. Once in the tournament, Colombia reached the quarterfinals before falling to host nation Brazil.

Colombia was led by Golden Boot winner James Rodriguez, who scored a World Cup leading six goals during his time in Brazil. The 23-year-old Rodriguez, who turned his breakout performance into a transfer to La Liga's Real Madrid, will be a focal point of the Colombia national team moving forward.

Radamel Falcao is also close to a return from the knee injury that kept the Colombian striker out of the World Cup.

As Los Cafeteros look to keep their momentum rolling, they will finish out the year with a handful of friendly matches.

Currently, Colombia has two friendlies scheduled, though there is a rumored September meeting with the United States.

Colombia 2014 fixtures:

09/05/2014: Brazil (Sun Life Stadium, Miami Gardens, Fla.)

10/08/2014: Ecuador (TBD, USA)
