Manchester City signs Sergio Agüero to five-year deal
Manchester City has signed striker Sergio Agüero to a five-year deal, the club announced Friday.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 26-year-old has been with the club since July 2011, and since then, the club has won two Premier League titles, the Capital One Cup and the FA Community Shield.
The striker has played in 122 matches and has scored 75 goals, including his stoppage time winner on the final day of the 2011-12 campaign to give City its first league title in 44 years.
Prior to his time at City, Agüero played for Atletico Madrid.

Speaking on this new contract, the striker smiled: “The reality seems to be that ever since I came here, during every close season, there have always been rumours suggesting that I might be returning to Spain.
“People hear this stuff flying around and they take it seriously but I can tell the fans and everyone at City to relax, I’m going to be here until I see out my contract.
During the offseason, City has extended long-term deals to Samir Nasri, Aleksandar Kolarov, Vincent Kompany and David Silva.
