The Court of Arbitration for Sport confirmed that Barcelona striker Luis Suarez's suspension will end at midnight on Oct. 24, Barcelona announced Wednesday.

Suarez will be eligible to make his debut for Barcelona against Real Madrid on Oct. 25.

Suarez is currently serving a four-month ban for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini while playing for Uruguay in this summer's FIFA World Cup, the third time he's bitten an opponent in his career. After his initial appeal was denied by FIFA, Suarez appealed to the CAS, which upheld his suspension in August.

Suarez has been allowed to train with Barcelona, and though he was suspended for nine international matches as well, it was ruled he could play in Uruguay's friendlies in September and October. He didn't join the team, however, for its games against South Korea and Japan this month.

The defending Premier League Player of the Season after he scored 31 goals in 33 games for Liverpool last season, Suarez was sold to Barcelona in July. He said last month he would no longer bite opponents.

Barcelona, which finished tied for second in La Liga last year, is 2-0 this season.
