Orlando City announces players to be retained for MLS next year

Orlando City Soccer Club, which will begin its inaugural Major League Soccer season in 2015, announced Monday which of its current players will be retained for the MLS squad.

Orlando City Soccer Club, which will begin its inaugural Major League Soccer season in 2015, announced Tuesday which of its current players will be retained for the MLS squad. 

The club is currently a member of third-tier league USL Pro.

Kaká (midfielder), Darwin Cerén (midfielder), Kevin Molino (midfielder), Estrela (midfielder), Rafael Ramos (defender), Tommy Redding (defender) and Tyler Turner (defender) will all make the move to MLS. 

The club is also in contract negotiations with Luke Boden, Harrison Heath and Adama Mbengue. The remaining players on the 2014 roster have been released. 

Kaká is a former FIFA World Player of the Year, Ballon d’Or winner and member of the 2002 Brazil World Cup Championship team. Molino led the USL Pro in goals (20) and assists (nine) in 2014.
