Orlando City's Kaka to play for Brazil for first time since March 2013

For the first time since March 2013, Brazil's Kaka has been called up to his country's national team.

For the first time since March 2013, Brazil's Kaka has been called up to his country's national team.

The Orlando City website announced that Kaka was called to be an injury replacement for Ricardo Goulart. Brazil plays Argentina in Beijing on Oct. 11 and Japan in Singapore on Oct. 14.

Kaka, who played on the 2006 and 2010 World Cup teams for Brazil, has not played for his county in nearly 19 months.

Orlando City, who will join the MLS in 2015, signed Kaka in July.The midfielder was loaned to Sao Paulo a few weeks later. Orlando City has already announced that it will retain Kaka for MLS play. 

Kaka has scored one goal in 12 league games for Sao Paulo.
