Report: Premier League considers moving one match abroad per season

Everton acquired Stones from Barnsley in January 2013. He made 21 appearances for the club last season and five this season.

Stones, 20, also competes for the England national team. He played in the team's Euro 2016 qualifier against Switzerland in September and was scheduled to play in upcoming qualifiers against San Marino and Estonia. The injury also puts Stones' status for England's Nov. 15 qualifier against Slovenia in jeopardy.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil (knee) out up to three months

Seamus Coleman, Kevin Mirallas, Ross Barkley, James McCarthy and Sylvain Distin are all injured as well.

Everton's next Premier League match is on Oct. 18 against Aston Villa, followed by an Oct. 23 Europa League match against French side Lille.
