Midfielder Paul Pogba signs contract extension with Juventus through '19
Midfielder Paul Pogba has signed a contract extension with Juventus, the club announced Friday.
Pogba's new deal keeps him with the Italian club through 2019. The financial terms of the contract are unknown. His old deal was set to expire in 2016.
The 21-year-old joined Juventus in the summer of 2012 on a free transfer from Manchester United and has made 69 Serie A appearances since, scoring 13 goals and helping the team win the league title each of the past two seasons. He has started six of the Juventus's first seven games this season and all three of its Champions League games.
Pogba also plays for the France national team, earning 20 caps and scoring five goals since his first appearance last year. He was named the FIFA Best Young Player at this summer's World Cup in Brazil after starting four of France's five games and scoring one goal.

Pogba made three Premier League appearances for United before his transfer.
Juventus is in its first season under manager Massimiliano Allegri after Antonio Conte resigned to become the manager of the Italian national team shortly before this season. The club is currently in first place in Serie A with 19 points in seven matches.
The club is also currently third in Group A of the Champions League with three points through three games.
