Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov will be out for a month with a calf injury. Kolarov, 28, injured his calf during warm-ups before Sunday's derby with Manchester United.

Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov will be out for a month with a calf injury, the BBC reports

Kolarov, 28, injured his calf during warm-ups before Sunday's derby with Manchester United. Despite his absence, City won the game 1-0. 

Manchester City will return to action Wednesday when they battle CSKA Moscow in Champions League action. He will also miss their upcoming game against Bayern Munich on Nov. 25 and several league games along the way. 

He has appeared in six league games for Manchester City so far this season. Last year, he made 44 appearances, 30 in league play, and scored four total goals. He has made 92 appearances for the club since joining Manchester City in 2010.

Kolarov is also a member of the Serbian national team, making his international debut back in 2008. He has 52 caps for Serbia and has scored six career international goals. 

He previously played for Čukaricki (2004-2006), OFKBeograd (2006-2007) and Lazio (2007-2010)
